She's growing up too fast!

Wow....I feel terrible that I haven't updated this in so long : ( I honestly think about it when Mckenna does something funny, but by the time she is in bed and it's the end of the day I just don't do it! I've also been blessed with a new job in medical sales, plus I am still working full time at the Glass Cactus, and of course Ross is still studying hard, working at the GC too, and at the doctor's office...so saying we are busy is an understatement! I feel bad..... So I'll try give a little update.


She is doing so great : ) Growing up so fast! I told her the other day that God made her and she said "Yep mom, God made me, and you, and daddy, and he made all my toys too". I thought that was so sweet. She's also been going through a stage where she tells me that she is Mary and I am baby Jesus and she will call me baby jesus all day long. ha ha!!

She really loves to take showers with me and she always tries to insist that Kiwi take a shower with us. Sometimes I'll let him and she just thinks it is the funniest thing. She washes him with dog soap and is so good with him...we are thinking about getting her her own puppy for her birthday this year. Kiwi just isn't used to kids and is getting old, so he doesn't really like to play with her. I took a pic after the shower the other day.

So the story on this pic is we were at the mall shopping and she saw this blue polka dot dress in Gymboree....she loved it and wanted it so bad. It really is an adorable dress so i bought it for her. For a week she asked to wear it everyday! So I would let her wear it around the house, bc it is just still too cold to wear it outside! Her and Ross were goofing off with her new hats for spring!

Mckenna is still doing great in dance class....her recital is going to be in June. They got fitted for their costumes and are going to be little butterflies with wings! I'm signing her up for gymnastics this month...we are still on the wait list b/c the class is so full...I'm hoping that we will get in soon b/c she is so great! She hangs from her bed, walks on the back of the couch and does front rolls all by herself in the living room.

After dance we always go to the book store and get a book and then go over to the pet shop to browse around. I don't know why, but a couple of weeks ago she saw this blue fish and begged to have him. I told her that she already had a fish (Dookie) and that we didn't need another one. She started crying and said "But mom, I've always wanted a blue fish....he needs me!" It broke my heart so I said okay! We had to buy a new tank and everything, but she was so happy! I asked her what she wanted to name him and she said "Bluey" : ) lol. I'm trying to avoid the pet shop from now on b/c who knows we might end up with 10 fish in the house and that would be a pain!

She was so excited!!!

She has also really gotten into painting. My mema and papa got her an easel set for christmas and we had it put in the garage b/c we are running out of room in our house so we were waiting till we move to put it in a play room. Well we were in the garage one day and she saw the box and she got so excited and said "Look mom!! It's my office....get it for me!!" So we had to bring it in. Now we have an easel, paint set, and drop cloth in the living room....and painted pictures all over the fire place...it is cute though : ) She LOVES to paint! And she is actually really good at it. We got her some new paint brushes and are buying new paints at least once every other week, she's been going through them like crazy!!

She really loves getting mail and gets so excited when she gets a letter! She was especially excited when Nana and Big John sent her a package for valentines. I took some pics of her and recorded a video of her when she got it (I'll put the video up later). She loved everything.

She looked so adorable on Valentines. I let her stay up late the night before and she made all her friends valentines cards (she picked out Yo Gabba Gabba cards this year). She was so excited about giving her dance class friends the bags of candy and cards in them. I told her that she couldn't give them out till the end of class and she kept telling all her friends to be good b/c she had surprises for them! I also bought her a little chef hat and apron for valentines b/c she loves to help me cook!

ha ha....this cracks me up!

It's amazing how fast time flies. I was laying in watching her sleep tonight wondering how I got so lucky to have such a beautiful, sweet little girl. She is truely the most amazing little person I've ever met. She has a temper, but she has the most beautiful heart. She is always telling us how much she loves us and she is always truely concerned for us. The other morning we woke up and she goes "AWWWW, mom, you have a boo-boo!" I was like what?!? And she said "oh mom, you have a pimple, (pointing to my chin)....you need to go to the doctor and he'll take care of you"....I almost died! I didn't even know she knew what a pimple was : )

We also have been renting her movies at Blockbuster. The other night we rented her Madagascar and she loved it. They dance in the movie and so now she's been running around the house saying "I like to move it move it, I like to move it move it!" I really need to get a video of her doing it.

She also LOVES the mosquito hawks that keep sneaking in our house when we open the door. She calls them "glitter bugs" and tells us "Look at my skeeter bugs"....she finds dead ones on the floor and wants to put them to bed, and give them a shower....disturbing I know, ha ha...but we try and keep them out and picked up!

Well I'm going to try and get in bed soon! Just wanted to give an update and I'm going to try to keep this updated more!

Ps- potty training is GREAT! She never ever poops in her pull up anymore, tee-tee is another story, but she has been really good about telling us....which actually came in handy the other day! We walked in the post office to mail a package and there were like 15 ppl in line before us. She started yelling on the top of her lungs "MOM!!! I NEED TO POTTY!!! I NEED TO POTTY! I NEED TO POOP!!!" She was making the biggest scene and everyone let us cut so I could get her out of there to take her to the potty. So we got to go in front of all 15 ppl and when we were leaving everyone started clapping for her and telling her "Good job!" It was the funniest, cutest thing ever!!
